About the role

This role turns supply chain data into decisions that hold up when a promotion runs a warehouse dry. You sit with planning and logistics rather than in a reporting team, and your models are expected to change what people actually do.

What you will do

  • Forecast demand by region and by pack format
  • Model the cost-to-serve trade-offs behind stock policy
  • Find the bottleneck before a promotion exposes it
  • Build the weekly service and inventory reporting, then automate it
  • Work with plants and carriers on the exceptions your model flags

How the team works

Planning runs on a monthly cycle: demand review in week one, supply review in week two, and a reconciliation meeting in week three where the number that goes to the plants is finally agreed. You present in all three.

  • A fifteen minute stand-up with planning and logistics every morning at 08:30
  • Two desks on the planning floor rather than a seat in a reporting team, so the awkward questions arrive in person
  • A written post-mortem after every promotion that misses service, circulated whether or not the model was at fault
